Real Estate Representative - Drive Energy Infrastructure Growth
Location: Juno Beach, FL 33408 (Remote with travel to sites)
Duration: 6-Month Contract
Compensation: Up to $53/hour DOE
Overview of the Role
Join a dynamic team at the forefront of energy infrastructure development, where your real estate expertise will directly impact critical transmission projects serving millions of customers. As a Real Estate Representative, you'll be instrumental in securing land rights, negotiating property agreements, and managing relationships with landowners to ensure transmission lines and substations are built on schedule. This role combines legal acumen, negotiation prowess, and strategic thinking to advance vital energy infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and acquire land and land rights including fee simple, leases, and easements for company transmission and substation projects
- Conduct negotiations with landowners to secure transmission rights-of-way, substation sites, and all necessary property rights within project timelines
- Review and interpret legal descriptions and land title hierarchy required for securing and disposing of real property
- Prepare and negotiate agreements for leasing company-owned property to third parties and manage surplus property disposition
- Interface with developers, Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), construction teams, and property owners to resolve conflicts and ensure project success
- Ensure all property acquisitions align with project schedules to prevent delays in critical infrastructure development
- Maintain accurate records of all property transactions, agreements, and negotiations
Required Skills & Qualifications
Required:
- 3+ years of experience in real estate, land acquisition, or property rights management
- Strong understanding of legal descriptions, title hierarchy, and property law fundamentals
- Proven negotiation skills with demonstrated ability to close complex property agreements
- Experience preparing and reviewing real estate agreements, leases, and easements
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (no alcohol/drug-related offenses within 5 years, no current restrictions)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills for interfacing with diverse stakeholders
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail in managing multiple property acquisitions
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, or related field
- Experience with utility, energy, or transmission project land acquisition
- Knowledge of Florida real estate law and property rights
- Experience working with FDOT or other governmental agencies
- Right-of-way acquisition experience
- Understanding of transmission line or substation site requirements
- GIS or mapping software experience
